My Blueberry Nights

"My Blueberry Nights" é a primeira incursão americana do realizador Wong Kar Wai ("Disponível para Amar", "Chungking Express") e abriu a edição deste ano do festival de Cannes. Jude Law, Norah Jones, Rachel Weisz, David Strathairn, Natalie Portman e Chan Marshall (mais conhecida como Cat Power) integram o irresistível elenco do filme.

Jeremy (Jude Law) veste a pele de um gerente de café e está acostumado a ouvir as histórias dos clientes. Uma noite recebe a visita de Elizabeth (Norah Jones), uma mulher que acaba de sofrer um desgosto de amor. A empatia entre os dois é imediata e Elizabeth passa a frequentar o café regularmente.
Determinada a livrar-se do passado, Elizabeth embarca numa viagem pela América. Nessa jornada, as experiências que vive e os vários estranhos com quem se vai cruzando [um polícia (David Strathairn) que não consegue abandonar a ex-mulher (Rachel Weisz) e uma viciada no jogo (Natalie Portman)] alteram para sempre a sua vida.
Ao desligar-se do passado, Elizabeth descobre um novo caminho que acabará por reconduzi-la ao amor.
Entretanto, Jeremy procura desesperadamente Elizabeth e, eventualmente, os dois acabarão por se reencontrar.
