P.S.: Já se encontra [finalmente!] à venda o disco de estreia dos norte-americanos The Fray [capa na imagem]. Chama-se "How To Save A Life" e, além do tema título, há outros motivos de interesse no álbum como 'All At Once' [excerto da letra acima] e 'Over My Head (Cable Car)' [o outro single do registo].

Skye na Queima de Coimbra

A antiga vocalista dos Morcheeba, Skye Edwards, actua a 04 de Maio na Queima das Fitas de Coimbra. na bagagem a cantora vai trazer "Mind How You Go", o seu disco de estreia a solo, que deu a conhecer o fabuloso 'Love Show'.

Há outros motivos de interesse no álbum, como 'What's Wrong With Me', 'Solitary' ou 'Stop Complaining'. Na página MySpace de Skye há uma versão bastante interessante de 'Feel Good Inc', dos Gorillaz, que não faz parte de "Mind How You Go".

Quando muitos de nós pensávamos que ela se ia espalhar ao comprido à conta da parceria com o Timbaland, eis se não quando a islandesa regressa em grande forma [e melhor do que nunca] com o single 'Earth Intruders' e o álbum "Volta" [chega a 7 de Maio]. Ela até pode não ser uma menina atinada, mas no que diz respeito às suas composições musicais é absolutamente única!

Gavin Rossdale: o álbum!

Gavin Rossdale anunciou [finalmente] que se prepara para gravar o seu primeiro álbum a solo.

O vocalista dos Bush... que tantas [grandes] malhas nos deu a conhecer com a sua banda... como 'Chemicals Between Us', 'Inflatable', 'Letting The Cables Sleep', 'Mouth', 'Glicerine' ou o inconfundível 'Swallowed'... está a trabalhar com Bob Rock, produtor dos Lostprophets.

Entretanto, já se conhece uma das músicas que deverá ser incluida no alinhamento final do disco. Trata-se do tema principal da série "Drive", que começou a ser exibida recentemente no canal Fox. Podem espreitar aqui o respectivo genérico e fiquem a conhecer o tema, em jeito de teaser.

Recorde-se que o último álbum dos Bush... "Golden State"... foi editado em 2001. Pelo meio, Rossdale lançou o tema 'Adrenaline'... que faz parte da banda-sonora do filme "XXX" e participou... como actor... em "Constantine"... ao lado de Keanu Reeves.

Já em 2005... Gavin Rossdale formou outra banda... os Institute... que editaram o disco "Distort Yourself".

Aimee Mann e Lilly Allen em Portugal

A norte-americana Aimee Mann actua no Coliseu dos Recreios, em Lisboa, a 25 de Julho.

Este será o primeiro concerto da cantora de 'Save Me' e 'Wise Up' em território nacional.

A actuação no nosso país faz parte de uma digressão de Verão pela Europa que conta, até ao momento, com três espectáculos marcados.

Na bagagem Aimee vai trazer o disco de originais "The Forgotten Arm", editado em 2005, bem como êxitos anteriores como 'How Am I Different', 'Humpty Dumpty', 'One', 'Choice In The Matter' ou 'Pavlov's Bell'.

Quem também vem cá no Verão é a desbocada Lily Allen. A britânica é o primeiro nome a ser avançado para o Super Bock Sagres Surf Festival.

A cantora sobe ao palco a 15 de Agosto, para apresentar "Alright, Still", o seu disco de estreia, que já deu a conhecer temas como 'Smile', 'LDN', 'Littlest Things' ou 'Alfie'.

Groove Armada com regresso viciante

Está quase aí o novo álbum dos Groove Armada. A edição está marcada para 07 de Maio. [Nesse mesmo dia saem os novos de Björk e Dolores O'Riordan.]

"Soundboy Rock" é antecipado pelo [viciante] single 'Get Down', cujo teledisco está disponível aqui ao lado, em New Vídeo 1.

Este novo disco da dupla composta Tom Findlay e Andy Cato conta com a participação de Stush, Neneh Cherry, Richard Archer (Hard-Fi), Alan Donohoe (vocalista dos The Rakes), Mutya Buena (ex-Sugababes) e Sunshine Anderson.

Em cartaz: Premonition

Já chegou aos cinemas nacionais o filme "Premonition". É, quanto a mim, mais uma fabulosa interpretação de Sandra Bullock numa película com uma abordagem interessante acerca daquilo a que, vulgarmente, se chama de "Premonição".
É, acima de tudo, uma lição de vida e um alerta para aproveitarmos cada momento da nossa existência e todas as oportunidades que temos para dizer a quem nos é próximo o quão importante é para nós! Isto pode parecer um lugar comum mas, se virem o filme vão, certamente, perceber o que quero dizer...
