Depois de Number Ones, o disco com todos o temas que atingiram a posição cimeira das tabelas de vendas, e um mês depois de ter sido ilibado das acusações de abuso sexual, Michael Jackson vai editar uma colectânea de êxitos.
Chama-se The Essential Michael Jackson e tem lançamento previsto para dia 18 de Julho. Estão lá quase todos os sucessos do rei da pop desde os tempos dos Jackson 5 até 'You Rock My World', de 2001.

Sendo um disco com o essencial do cantor, faltam algumas pérolas como 'Sream' (em dueto com a mana Janet), o fantástico 'They Don't Care About Us', 'Stranger In Moscow', 'Blood On The Dance Floor' ou os lindissimos 'Earth Song' e 'Cry'...
